Greetings Everyone,
Find me at Stop #24 on the Austin Studio Tour beginning THIS weekend at The Mosaic Workshop!

Join me and many other mosaic artists the weekends of November 8-9 and 15-16, 12-6pm each day. There will be lots to see and do, including hands-on community projects, and live music. More info about the studio tour, including maps and schedules here. Find us at 729 Airport Blvd.
Between the two weekends, there will be a myriad of mosaic-related events at The Mosaic Workshop, as they host their annual MOSAIC FEST! Click on this link for the full schedule of events. Join me on Tuesday 11/11 at 6:30pm -- I will be giving a short presentation: "How I Found my Voice as an Artist".

Works by the Austin Mosaic Guild will also be featured during the show. Don't miss seeing some of the best mosaic art in Austin!

I've just returned from the Society of American Mosaic Artists' annual Mosaic Summit in Orlando, FL, where my work "Rise Above::Stand Strong" was honored with the "2025 Best Community Mosaic Award" at their Mosaic Arts International exhibit. This award means so much to me, because of what this work of art represents.
It was created to honor 14 women in Austin who won a lawsuit against the DA, city, and police for the mishandling of their sexual assault cases. As part of their restitution, they asked for an art piece as a reminder of the importance of justice.
Over 80 people came together to create this mosaic—survivors, officials, families, and mosaic artists. I worked hard to create a safe, healing, and empowering experience.
Sexual assault is a global issue, and the voices of victims are amplified because of this exhibit.

In March 2026 I will be one of the featured speakers at the Contemporary Mosaic Art Conference in Albuquerque, NM. I'm honored to share my experiences with other artists during the conference. Stay tuned for more about this exciting event!
For those of you interested in classes and workshops, I'll have some coming up soon! Look for all the details in an upcoming post.
