Cow Parade is a well-known international public art project, having displayed in over 75 cities all over the world. Life-sized cows in a variety of poses are decorated by area artists, and displayed at various locations around town. The Austin project was on display in 2011, and then auctioned to raise money for The Superhero Kids Fund at Dell Children’s Medical Center.

 

My offering, Gilded Lily, resided on Congress Avenue, near the state capitol, before being auctioned for $31,000 to help children fighting cancer.
